From safety and finance to sustainability and recreation, committees play a vital role in guiding PMC. Get involved, build lasting connections, and make a meaningful impact while gaining insight into how our Association works.
Bear (Wildlife) Committee
Promotes safe coexistence between residents and the local bear population by providing education on bear-proofing and safe encounter practices, fostering respect for wildlife within the community
Budget & Finance
Advises on key financial activities, overseeing reporting, control systems, and audit integrity to ensure transparency, sound fiscal management, and protect the association's financial health; knowledge of financial and accounting processes is required.
Communications
Works to streamline and enhance communication systems to keep the community well-informed, connected, and engaged with timely updates, events, and resources; essential skills include writing, public relations, social media, design, project management, teamwork, and strategic thinking.
Elections
Recruits and encourages qualified candidates to run in the annual PMCPOA Board of Directors election, ensuring a strong, diverse slate to support effective leadership and representation within the association.
Emergency Preparedness
Supports emergency planning and preparation to ensure the safety of all residents, incorporating the Radio Safety Network (RSN) and the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
Environmental Control [EC]
Works to protect and maintain the natural beauty of our community by upholding, preserving, and enhancing the environment as outlined in the Environmental Control Code directives and standards.
Governing Documents
The purpose of the governing documents committee is to maintain, review, and propose changes to and/or create the governing documents of this Association at the direction of the board of directors in accordance with current laws, codes and operating conditions.
Greens & Grounds
Oversees matters pertaining to the improvement and maintenance of the golf course and other PMCPOA outdoor facilities, such as Lampkin Park, the PMC Campground, and community trails and recreation areas.
Planning
Develops and recommends long-range strategic planning ideas for the association, promoting community growth, sustainability, and collaboration while undertaking specific projects at the Board's request.
