Nature at Pine Mountain Club

Living Close to Nature

Living Close to Nature

One of the most unique aspects of PMC is how close nature truly is. No home in Pine Mountain Club is more than 200–300 yards from natural habitat, whether through greenbelts or the perimeter of Association land.

You don’t need to hike a trail to experience nature here. Simply sitting on a deck or walking through your neighborhood often means sharing space with wildlife and native plants.

Wildlife in and Around PMC

Feeding Wildlife Policy

Feeding Wildlife Policy

To protect wildlife and residents, feeding wild animals is prohibited throughout PMC.

This includes:

  • Birdseed, suet, peanuts
  • Hummingbird feeders
  • Any food intended for wildlife

Even bird feeders can attract bears and other animals, leading to dangerous habituation. While this rule limits close-up bird viewing from homes, it plays a critical role in preserving natural behavior and reducing human-wildlife conflicts.
